Asmaa Shehata is the volunteer principal of AlFajr School and has held this role since 2013. Asmaa and the school’s team have developed the Islamic studies curriculum, added several new classes, and have organized many successful events and competitions. Asmaa is also serving as a member of OMA’s board of directors.
She completed a Master of Applied Science in Civil Engineering at University of Ottawa. Asmaa has led award-winning research projects and received multiple academic awards including The Canadian Society of Civil Engineering Award of Excellence. Currently, Asmaa works for the Government of Canada as a project analyst.
